Welcome to Castle Wools

Our Story.

Welcome to Castle Wools, a family-run company. Our journey began when we started our venture with a market stall selling British woven wool blankets and sheepskin rugs. Nestled in the heart of Winchester, we are known for our exceptional quality, competitive prices and dedication to customer satisfaction. From the beginning, our mission has been to provide people with the cosiest, most stylish blankets that transform houses into homes. With each hand-picked design, we aim to spread warmth, love, and vibrancy into our customers homes.

We still maintain a physical presence at Winchester in the High Street every Saturday, and the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from September through to June.

Our Ethos.

Our ethos is simple: Nurturing the legacy of British Mills. At the heart of Castle Wools lies a deep-rooted commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of British wool industry. We are passionate about supporting local farmers and artisans who have, for generations, contributed to the excellence of British mills producing beautifully made blankets. Our ethos revolves around three core principles:

  1. Quality Craftsmanship: Every product we create is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of our skilled artisans. We meticulously source the finest wool, ensuring that each piece is not only a work of art but also a symbol of enduring quality.
  2. Sustainability: We are dedicated to sustainability at every step of our journey. By promoting the use of natural, renewable materials like wool, we reduce our ecological footprint and play our part in protecting the environment for future generations.
  3. Heritage Preservation: Our commitment to British woven wool products goes beyond business. It's a pledge to honour the legacy of local farmers and the time-honoured traditions of wool production in the UK. We're proud to be a custodian of this heritage.
